January 3, 2009. It was a cold day in Ithaca, NY. You were born at 10:02 am. Dad was so glad that my water broke minutes AFTER the big football game ended. You had great timing. The best surprise about your arrival was your cry. You sounded just like a little lamb! It was so cute we actually liked to hear you cry. This picture was taken about an hour after you were born. I have to laugh about it now because you are sleeping the exact same way tonight.

You were so alert, even as a newborn. You always want to see what is happening around you. This picture makes me laugh because you are really a mini-Taylor here. It's too bad that it was so cold when you were born that we had to have hats on you all the time. You were born with a full head of hair.

This was you on February 3, 2009. You were exactly one month old. You didn't do much, but you were so sweet.

Two months old. These were the days of "happy leg". When you were in a good mood you would
repetitively kick one leg over and over and over again.

Three months old. Yes, you had to endure being dressed up as a bunny so that mom could get a good shot for the Easter card I wanted to send out to family. You sure did make a cute bunny!

Four months old. You L-O-V-E-D to stand. That's all you wanted to do. You also began to
purposefully grab things like rattles and mom's hair. Ouch!

Introducing...rice cereal! At five months we finally let you try it. You had been grabbing our forks, spoons, and food for a while but we were too busy with the move to the apartment in Ithaca to give you it until then.

Six months old and so fun! We are enjoying watching you roll over, eat more cereal, push your self around, and become more...stubborn. You will zero in on something and stare at it for minutes. You also somehow find a way to get where you want to be. I often have walked into your room after a nap and you'll be on the opposite side of your crib and turned the opposite way.

Tiffany,
What a beautiful little girl!
Tiffany-
Taylor is adorable! I love your idea for writing to your daughter. How great it will be when she's older and can read about all your thoughts a feelings of her when she was a baby! It is something she will always cherish!
